Global specialises in the production of round, flexible polyethylene sea cages for a broad range of fin-fish including Atlantic Salmon, Sea Trout, Red Sea Bream (Snapper), Golden Snapper, Barramundi and Bluefin Tuna. The cages are also suitable for Coral Trout, Stripy Trumpeter and other fin-fish. Smolt/Fingerling, Research, Towing/Grow out cages are also available.
Global are able to supply and construct Sea Cages on site virtually anywhere, having had extensive experience in some very remote areas.
The cages generally range from 40 metres to 160 metres in circumference. An 80 metre cage is considered to reasonably hold up to 45-50 tonne of fish, while a 126 metre cage can hold up to 200 tonne. The cages are constructed using a double ring , inserted with polystyrene foam for stability. The cages are fitted with Global stanchions, embodying all the necessary lugs for mooring purposes and tying off nets. The stanchions also serve to hold a handrail firmly in place and allow jump-up nets to be fitted to the cages. Four models of stanchion design are currently available, manufactured under quality control conditions, to enable the cages to be configured to the clients requirements and conditions.
Compared to competitive products, the structural design of the Global stanchion used in the construction of the Sea Cages, is superior in strength, features extra gussets, provides greater stability and is environmentally sound in terms of aerodynamic shape with the ability to change the colour to suit environmental tastes. The cages are also fitted with a double chaining system, developed as an extension to the ordinary conceptual design. This provides maximum security in adverse conditions.
GLOBAL SEA-CAGE KITS - We are able to supply our cages in kit form, generally following construction of the initial cages, where we would provide guidance and instruction so that the client is familiar with the procedures required to ensure full quality control is maintained, and that the cages perform to the highest standard.

The Stubby Stanchion has been developed to accommodate non jumping fish, such as snapper and king fish.
The Extended Stanchion accommodates all jumping fish, and will withstand extreme sea and weather conditions.
Both stanchions feature numerous tie off points of nets or cable, can accommodate either single or double chaining systems. Numerous gussets throughout the stanchions provide for strength and durability.

The West Coaster has a moulded in stainless steel chaining system, where the East Coaster has a single galvanised chaining system.
